Studio Thinking

I also chose to create a mindmap of the studio thinking concepts but I did have a couple of things that I wanted to talk about further. I love the idea in the book where an art teacher lets parents know about cool and relevant exhibits in town. Ive never thought about this before but it could be really interesting. I wonder if making it extra credit would be more motivating to everyone or debilitating to those whos parents cant take them? I also really liked this part because it talked about Theo Jansen who is an artist that I discovered in middle school and absolutely love! I've never heard anyone else talk about him before, let alone a text book. I also wanted to acknowledge the part where they talk about getting artwork out in public so that stakeholders keep valuing art. I would like to do more research on this because I know that in reality that's the only way to make sure your school values the program and to get enough money to buy supplies. Imagine if a high school didn't have the best football team but everyone knew about them for their extraordinary art!
